Temperature, Wind Speed and Direction
Port Macquarie -- past 7 days
Note: This page will refresh itself every hour.
This graph shows various weather observation
as pulled from the Bureau of Meteorology website and measured from Port
Macquarie Airport Weather Station (PQQ AWS). The observed stats are:
- Wind speed (red line): Measured in km/h. A zero or "CALM" reading also implies that there is no measurable wind direction.
- Temperature (green line): Measured in °C. Negative values aren't handled on this graph, as I don't think it gets below freezing here.
- Rainfall (blue line): Measured in millimetres per hour, based on the readings since 9am of that day. If it looks like there's never any rain at 9am, that's why.
There are also 2 statistics derived from the raw data and graphed for your viewing pleasure:
- 1-day moving wind speed average (yellow line): shows the wind speed averaged over the previous 24 hours of observations. This smooths out the up-and-down of the hourly graph and gives you an idea of the wind speed trends.
- 1-day moving temperature average (purple line): kind of self-explanatory, see above.
